Greetings,

I must seem like a broken record, but again the growth and development of this swim club is reaching levels not previously recorded. We had 48 swimmers at the ABC Finals in Mankato with 14 new CH swims at this meet. We then sent 44 athletes to the State Finals in Rochester either in relays or individual races. I then went on to the Mega Zones Meet in Indianapolis with two of our swimmers. After finishing all this it felt great to be in my own bed, all this excitement has worn me out! Congratulations to all the swimmers who attended these meets and continue to lead the Storm on its accent to the top.

I am also proud to announce the hiring of two new coaches to the staff and I am confident that they will be a great fit into an already outstanding coaching staff. They are: Jeff Mace and Dan Lindstrom. Jeff is the current head coach of the Edina girls swim team comes to us from the Northfield swim team. He will be primarily located in Lakeville and working with the JR and IG2 groups. He brings 20+ years of experience to our team. Dan comes to us from the Monticello Swim Club where he was the Head Age Group coach to a team that excelled year in and year out. He will be primarily located in Prior Lake concentrating on the AG1 group and the Masters team and brings 8 years of coaching experience to the club.

The Triathlon and Team Party are scheduled for August 17th. We have over 270 registered participants that promise to make this event a consistent fundraiser for the club in the years to come. We exceeded our goal of 250 athletes and are excited to put on a first class race and attract additional athletes in the future.

To those going on to college I wish you luck on your new adventure. To the HS girls: no rest for the weary. Everyone else, enjoy your remaining weeks of summer and let’s gear up for the Fall Season!
