About STORM

We boast more than 150 swimmers in our current winter session with a large contingency of young swimmers getting ready to take the reigns from our older competitors as they move on to other aspects of life. Our programs include bi-annual clinics and six levels of participation for swimmers of advancing cognitive and athletic ability. We are also offering a Masters program with a desire aimed to instill the basic foundations of lifetime fitness and health, and to showcasing the realization that there is active life after high school sports end.

The STORM has grown consistently over the past five years and is now the fifth largest in the state of Minnesota. Our goals as a team are to continue this growth and move into the top three by the end of this year, and to attain an AAA status with our team point totals at the winter State Meet. These statements and goals are testaments to the previous leadership of our team, the current key volunteers, and the unwavering support from our coaching staff.

  • Team Triathlon option (summers): There are no youth programs in the state of Minnesota. We plan to pioneer this advancement. This option will allow professional coaching to keep kids motivated if swimming alone has become too monotonous.
Organization
  • Devoted and professional group of core volunteers with a reputation of running some of the smoothest meets in the Metro Area.
  • A Non-Profit status that provides stability in our rental needs and budget plans
  • A coach run club: Voted on in the spring of 2005 with an 80-9 vote that gave power to the coaches to run the club as they see fit. The ultimate compliment that a club coach can receive.

We are dedicated solely to the communities of ISD 719 and 194 and the athletes who believe in us.
