Weekly Update 12/2

Storm Swim Club

 

                                                       Hello Everyone!

    It is great to see so many of the girls back in the water after a successful High School Season.  Just so all those who are not yet signed up and are looking for a break, do know this, for the SR and JR groups we use the month of December to go back to our fundamentals, we will spend lots of time working on details associated with our great sport.  We know that the girls in particular don’t get as much time out of the pool as the boys do, this is not only a great way to re-set, but to also form great habits for the upcoming months of more focused training.     

Our Winter meet schedule is posted! We're excited to share that we’ll be hosting two swim meets this season, giving everyone ample opportunities to fulfill their volunteer requirements.

One of these meets will be scheduled opposite the Rochester meet in February. We’ve made this decision for several important reasons:

  • It creates more opportunities for our entire team to participate.

  • The Rochester event has become overcrowded, and for the past two years, our swimmers have spent their downtime sitting on floors.

  • Our meet will be smaller and more manageable, offering a better experience and increasing the chances for swimmers to earn second swims in the Finals Session.

Meets that need immediate attention if you are interested in attending them. 

  • Richfield Invite Dec 13th, entries are due tonight 12/2 at midnight

  • SMIHL Meet Dec 6th, entries are due 12/3

  • Ames Invitational, Jan 16th - 18th, 2026, entries are due on Dec 14th.

Feb 27-March 1st, 2026 MN Regional Championships (Storm Hosted)

Volunteer Requirements

    Lastly, if you have any suits or caps that you ordered, we did our best to find you and distribute them to you.  They are all now at the Century Middle School Pool.  Feel free to stop by and have a coach assist you in finding them.
